Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce Relaunches Membership Program with Focus on Business Growth

JEFFERSON COUNTY, NY - The Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce is announcing the relaunch of its membership program following the adoption of its 2026-2028 strategic plan, Blueprint for Success: Powered by GYMO.

The revised membership program is one piece of the work now underway to put the Chamber’s strategic plan into action. Blueprint for Success: Powered by GYMO identifies four priorities for the organization: Member Value & Engagement, Diversified Revenue, Operational Effectiveness, and Reputational Excellence.

“This restructure is indicative of a greater shift in the role of the Chamber in our community,” said Kaylee Millward, Executive Director of the Greater Watertown-North Country Chamber of Commerce. “If our role is to truly support the growth of the Jefferson County business community, we need to move beyond the traditional Chamber model and position ourselves as a tool in the economic development toolbox. This membership relaunch is a foundational step in making that shift across how we do what we do.”

The new membership structure recognizes that businesses have different goals and are at different stages of growth. The Chamber’s role is to provide the tools, connections, and opportunities that help businesses move forward.

The three membership levels, Start, Grow, and Thrive, are designed around different ways businesses can engage with the Chamber. Start is for entrepreneurs and new businesses looking to get connected in the community. Grow is for new or existing businesses looking for growth and promotion while staying connected. Thrive is for mature businesses looking to partner in championing the growth of a thriving community.

The Chamber will continue building on the priorities outlined in its strategic plan through its programs, partnerships, events, and services, with a focus on being a practical resource for businesses at every stage.
